Express Gong Fu Brewing
Quality with speed! Brew it fast, brew it right.
As someone who’s obsessed with Gong Fu Cha (Gong Fu Brewing), I admit, sometimes washing the gongfu cups each round and not using a Gong Dao Bei (pitcher) when serving a big group could be a bit of a hassle..
And what happens when you are drinking alone and still fancy some gongfu?
This is a simplified version of Gong Fu Cha (Gong Fu Brewing).
a 100-180ml gaiwan or teapot
some small cups up to 50 ml
+ a pitcher for a group
or a bigger cup over 100ml for yourself only
A tea towel to replace the tea tray,
to be placed underneath to collect or dry up any spill.
water temperature, tea amount and brewing time varies for different teas
Put one pao or 5-8 grams of tea in gaiwan/teapot
Risnse the tea and infuse hot water
Strain tea to a pitcher or directly to your big cup
Pour tea to each cup evenly or add multiple infusions to your big cup
Warm the tea ware at the beginning.
Always toss away the last bit of tea from cups before adding new tea.
Smell, sip slow, savor
Please do not use tap water if it has a strong smell.
Please do not leave any tea in the gaiwan each time you pour.
Change the tea whenever it’s light for your taste.
